Sports Degrees

Sports Business Degrees, Courses and Programs

The commercial side of sport: finance, revenue, investment, media rights and the economics of the industry.

What is sports business?

Sports business programs study the sport industry as an industry: club and league finance, revenue models, valuation, media and sponsorship deals, facility economics, ownership and strategy. They are offered as bachelor’s and master’s degrees, MBAs with a sports specialization and executive courses.

The subject overlaps with sports management, which has a stronger operational and governance focus. If a program teaches both, it is tagged with both subjects but kept as a single record.

Many programs have strong industry links and projects with clubs or leagues. These are recorded only when the provider publishes them, and never presented as guaranteed placements.

Typical topics: Sports finance, Strategy and ownership, Media and sponsorship rights, Economics of sport, Valuation, Industry projects.

Also called: Sport business, Sports economics, Sportökonomie. These names lead to this one page.

Online programs are never counted as physically located in a state or city. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change recognition status, verification or order.
