Results are listed alphabetically. There is no price ranking: prices in different currencies and bases (per week, per camp, per term, per year) are not comparable. Missing details (tuition, admissions, accommodation) never remove a verified listing. Training programs closed to the public are shown only when you ask for them. Online programs are never counted as physically located in a state or city. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change recognition status, verification or order.

Sport study and training in New Zealand: what the verified records show

Our verified records for New Zealand cover 3 universities and colleges, 1 professional or governing body and training provider and 2 clubs, academies or camp operators, with 10 listed programs. This is the research done so far, not a complete list of everything available.

Academic study: 5 degree-pathway programs (3 bachelor’s, 1 master’s or sports MBA), across subjects including Coaching education, Exercise science, Sport science, Sports analytics, Sports management and 1 more.

Professional education: 3 courses or credentials for coaches, practitioners and administrators, each labelled by credential type.

Athlete training: 2 camp, academy or development programs, 5 in football (soccer). The operator and any club relationship are stated on each listing.

4 programs are delivered online or in a hybrid format and are not counted as physically located here.

7 of the listed programs publish a price, each shown in its own currency and basis (per week, per camp, per term, per year or for the whole program), which is why prices are never ranked against each other.

About sport study and training in New Zealand

How sport study and coaching education are organised

Sport study in New Zealand is taught mainly in university sport and exercise schools offering three-year bachelor degrees and postgraduate awards, plus polytechnic qualifications such as the New Zealand Certificate in Exercise. The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) lists the education providers whose qualifications meet its industry standards for registration. Football coaching licences are delivered by NZ Football in partnership with the Oceania Football Confederation.
